Meet Our Golf Professionals

Clay Kinnaird, PGA, Director of Golf
Clay is an award winning PGA Golf Professional that has been a part of Odessa Country Club for the better part of 20 years.  He is originally from Houston, and prior to Odessa Country Club, has spent time at facilities in Chicago, New York, and South Texas.  Clay has served on the NTPGA Board of Directors, including two years as President.  Clay has represented the North Texas PGA on three Joe Black Cup Teams, two as a player and one as Captain.   He has won numerous North Texas PGA awards including the Merchandiser of the Year in 1993,1995, and 2009 and the Bill Strausbaugh Award in 1996 and 1997.  In addition, Clay was named the 2003 PGA Golf Professional of the Year for the Northern Texas Section of the PGA of America.



   

Jake McCullough, PGA, Head Golf Professional
Jake has been a member of the PGA of America since 2004 and has been a Head Golf Professional for five years.  Jake is from Big Spring TX and played college golf at Western Texas College.  Before joining Odessa Country Club, he was affiliated with San Angelo Country Club in San Angelo TX and Colony Creek Country Club in Victoria  TX.  In   2004,  Jake  was awarded the Acushnet PGA Apprentice Scholarship for excelling in the PGA Professional Golf Management Program.



      
   

Jerrod Simmons, PGA, First Assistant Golf Professional
Jerrod is an accomplished player who has spent time on the Tight Lies Tour.  He received his membership into the PGA of America in 2008.  Jerrod is from Big Spring and played college golf at Midland College.  He has worked at Big Spring Country Club, GolfTEC in Lubbock, and Masters Golf in Midland.  Jerrod was awarded the West Texas Chapter Assistant Professional of the Year in 2006 and 2009 and has represented the NTPGA three times in the Jordan Cup matches.



   
   

Gordon Couch, Assistant Golf Professional
Gordon is from Forney TX just outside of Dallas.  He spent time at Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Rockwall before joining Odessa Country Club.  Gordon turned professional in 2009 and is currently enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Managment Program to obtain his PGA Membership.
